Vouchers and Schedule Changes

posted Apr 3, 2014, 11:45 AM by Lincoln Dial

Friendly reminder- each team is to bring one voucher per game for coed-soccer.  Also, if you have changed a game day or time, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DO A SCHEDULE CHANGE ON THE WEBSITE!  If a referee is not notified in time of a game change, you could be responsible for his/her ref fee.  Thank you, Lincoln Dial

Soccer Rule Clarification

posted Apr 3, 2014, 11:42 AM by Lincoln Dial

Just to remind everyone, YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 3 GIRLS PLAYING AT ALL TIMES in coed soccer, blue and gold.  Failure AT ANY TIME, to have at least 3 girls in the game is an automatic forfeit of the game.  You may then continue to play the game, but it is understood that the game is a forfeit, regardless of the final score.  The refs have been instructed to not proceed with the game unless both coaches acknowledge that the game has already been forfeited.  This has been our rule all along and we are just making sure we enforce it the way it is written.  Thank you for your help regarding this rule.

Rules Clarifications for Fall- 2013

posted Oct 9, 2013, 10:10 AM by Lincoln Dial

The following are just for clarification so that all parties involved (coaches, referees, etc.) are on the same page.
Football
- There is NO RULE against running "between the tackles."  You may run through the interior line or around the outside.
- There must ALWAYS BE AT LEAST 5 players on the line of scrimmage at all times.  A team may "overload" or go "unbalanced" and have more than 5 on the line, but there is never a time or situation where the offense is not required to have at least 5 players on the line of scrimmage at the snap of the ball.
- The three interior lineman may not wear flags.  These three are inelligible to receive a pass for the duration of the offensive play.
- If another eligible offensive receiver "covers up" another player on the line of scrimmage, that covered up player is not eligible to receive a pass during that play.  To be "covered up" means that there is another eligibler receiver on the line further out from the ball on the line of scrimmage.  This is a general football rule and should be enforced just as it is in CIF (8-man or 11-man).
- Our rules call for 3 1-minute time outs per half.  The quarters are 12 minute running time, with only the last two minutes of each half being stop time.
- Once the score of a game gets to a 21 point difference, the time is never stopped.  If the trailing team gets the difference in score back down to 20 or below, the last two minutes of each half go back to stop time as originally stated.
- ALL REFS ARE REQUIRED TO CALL THE HOST SCHOOL AND INFORM THEM IF THEY ARE UNABLE TO ARRIVE AT THE GAME 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE START OF THE GAME.  Failure to do so can result in reduced pay.
Volleyball
- All games are best of 5.  Each game goes up to 21, with the 5th game going to 15.
- All CIF rules are in place in regards to rotations and general volleyball rules.  It is the responsibility of the ref to know the CIF rules of volleyball and to enforce them.
- ALL REFS ARE REQUIRED TO CALL THE HOST SCHOOL AND INFORM THEM IF THEY ARE UNABLE TO ARRIVE AT THE GAME 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE START OF THE GAME. Failure to do so can result in reduced pay.
